Today Katie rode her bike without training wheels for the first time. She was at times extremely excited and, when she fell down, equally dramatic!
Yesterday we hosted two mini neighborhood gatherings. In the morning all of the little girls aged 2 to 7 joined us for tea (lemonade), treats and a story on the driveway. We had a dozen little ones here. John donned his chef's jacket and hat so he could serve. It was a smashing success. Later, primarily for the 5'ish year old boys - plus sisters, we hosted a bike parade around the block with refreshments afterwards. Holly (the dog) had more special-order mini-cupcakes than the boys did... Other than that small glitch it was also a great success!
